OK-FIRST
OKlahoma's First-response Information Resource System using
Telecommunications (OK-FIRST) has now equipped more than 60
regional public safety personnel with training, hardware, support
and access to valuable weather information, including real-time
Mesonet and NEXRAD data.
Wewoka Emergency Management Director Lonnie Rowe was recently
quoted in the Daily Oklahoman about how his OK-FIRST access and
training helped during the recent Wewoka tornado: "It saved a lot
of lives. I've been telling people 'Thank God and OK-FIRST.' "
