A Day of Contrasts
Heat continues in the south and southeast, with near 100 F temps as of
2:00 pm today. Walters and Grandfield have eclipsed 100 F for the seventh
day in a row, and Tipton is on the verge of doing the same (99 F at 2:00).
A sharp cold front has releived the northern third of the state.
Temperatures in the panhandle and extreme northwest have been in the
50s and 60s since nighttime hours.
At 1:00 pm today, the temperature at Hooker had dropped **41 degrees F**
since 1:00 pm yesterday.
