DUNNNN DUNN

(That title's supposed to be Jaws music...best my ears-to-brain translator could
do)

I don't know what's lurking in the deep out there this week, but I do know we
have some deep water out there. And remember, THAT'S just a picture of the rain
we've had in the last week. Here's a better look at it, sans giant-mouthed fish.

Enough rain on the map that we STILL have flooding going on.

The rains (not that March stuff that wet us...the April/May stuff that's
swallowing us) over the last 60 days really stand out as drought killers,
especially across northeastern Oklahoma where totals have been deluge-icious (new
word, don't bother looking it up), from 10-15 inches above normal.

That's a lot of water. In fact, for the Panhandle and northeast, it is the
wettest last 60 days since at least 1921! And the other areas of the state
aren't slouches in the rankings either.

The problem is it's raining again.

Now that's not necessarily a terrible thing for the west, where they haven't
had the humongous rains lately (hit or miss, of course, thanks to those
rain-dumping supercells), but it won't be good for those areas that have
been recently inundated.

For May, that's pretty tame, actually. However, added onto what has fallen
already? Not really needed.

We're not in the deepest water yet. The sharks have time to swim away. I guess
we're lucky to be in some sort of deep water anyway. Better than the NO WATER
we've seen in the past.
