Worth Keeping an Eye On
With upper support and a surface trough providing some excitement
in the meteorological community today, one subtle feature in the
current Oklahoma Mesonet data might be worth watching. Winds in
the south central part of the state have been backing slightly in
the mid-afternoon hours. Not a great amount, just 20 degrees or so
in the last two hours, but enough to manifest as a region of
just-east-of-south winds on the Mesonet map.
For examples, check out the Ardmore and Madill meteograms (they're
the most dramatic), and the latest weather conditions map at the
Mesonet Subscribers' Page.
