Glub Glub
At 8:30 am, the Mesonet site at Vinita had no precipitation since midnight. Less than five hours later, they have 7.04 inches, and it's still raining. Heavy storms have continuously formed and trained over the extreme northeastern corner of the state, meaning Vinita is getting the proverbial gully-washer (do they have gullies in Vinita)?

The Vinita meteogram give a good view of how the molehill has become a mountain.

For what it's worth, The 500-year 6-hour rainfall event for the Vinita area is approximately 7 inches, so that has been surpassed with an hour to spare.
Meanwhile, Boise City has now gone 241 days without at least a quarter of inch during at least one of those days.

The have-too-much folks vs. the have-nots scenario continues. Fasten your seatbelts ... it's going to be a bumpy night.
