It's brutally cold, made worse by a bit of moisture, and it's not getting any better for awhile. We'll start you off with Friday's forecast; maybe you'll feel better. http://ticker.mesonet.org/archive/20191111/friday-forecast-highs.png But right now, those 50s are just a dream (save for the southeast...for a few more hours). The strongest (coldest) air of the season is plunging through the state, fed by air crossing over the polar region. Here are a few maps to show the front's progression, and current misery index. Notice the wind chill map is a bit sparse up in the northwest due to some freezing drizzle messing up our wind anemometers. 'Tis but a dream now. Let's not forget that wind. Your face doesn't care that our anemometers are frozen. It only cares that IT'S frozen.
